The Greene County middle school girls’ track team sent 11 athletes to compete at the Mike Henderson State Meet at Waukee on Saturday, May 7.
The seventh grade girls scored 10 points and placed 13th out of 19 in the large school division. The eighth grade girls did not place in the top six in any event, so they did not score.
Eighth grade results: Bailey Cunningham placed 7th out of 26 in the 800m run with a time of 2:40.86
Seventh grade results:
- Lillian Muir placed fourth in the long jump with a jump of 13′ 3″
- Brianna Osterson placed seventh in the long jump with a jump of 13′ 1/2″
- The 400M shuttle hurdle relay team placed fourth with a time of 1:24.83. Girls on this team are Eliza Carlson, Brianna Osterson, Makala Kafer, and Lillian Muir
- The 800M relay team placed sixth out of 13 with a time of 2:07.89. Girls on this team are Carlson, Osterson, Muir, and Kafer.
- Annie Twillie placed 8th out of 17 in the 100m low hurdles with a time of :20.16.
- Muir placed 12th out of 17 in the 100m low hurdles with a time of :21.32.
- Kafer placed 6th out of 11 in the 200m low hurdles with a time of :33.81.
